Kings Field Jump Box | iPhone Clips

Video was filmed and edited all on my iPhone (that’s why its rubbish) but thought I would get a couple of clips on my iPhone whilst I had a puncture. Briggs, Nathan clips over the box at Kingston

Leftover Shots | RideBMX UK Scene Article

Right, its taken me a while to get this sorted, mostly because after being fucked over by Ride and only getting one page for the ktown scene rep I’ve been pretty bitter about the whole thing. Anyway, here’s some photos. hopefully get some hi-res up on my site when I get round to it.

Kingston BMX Scene Web Edit

To go with the recent Kingston RideUK article written and photographed by Gareth, I put together this Kingston Scene web edit. Ive been thinking about doing something like this for a while now and because of our local skatepark being rebuilt i thought it was a great opportunity to make a street edit of the Kingston locals. Thanks to everyone who has worked hard to get clips in the small time-frame, enjoy. James

Kingston Refurb

Saw some pics up on facebook so thought i would post them up. As nasty as this park was, ive had some fond memories from it. Its a shame to see it in this state but i guess out with the old and in with the new!..

Not sure if they are resurfacing or taking it all apart for the new park.. will update soon.

Snow and Stuff

I feel like i haven’t ridden in months. Its either snowy or wet and indoor parks are a long way away, nightmare. It seems there is still stuff going on in the bmx world but I haven’t been updating this much recently because i try to find videos/sites that no one else has posted. There are so many sites that post the same old thing and it just gets boring. So to keep it fresh here is a briggs’ home made snowbike. Hopefully some action pics soon.

Random Selection

Just been looking through some old files and came across loads of old riding pictures. Most have been put up on the old site back in the day, but thought it be cool to bring back some good memories.

John Haxton on BMX Rider

The internet is an awesome thing. You can find so many random things on it. Start searching for one thing and end up finding something totally random. Which brings me nicely to this cover of BMX Rider. Issue 21 featured Kingston’s very own Briggs… or John Haxton.. Published in 2004, anyone got a copy of that interview?

issue 21 – april 2004 (1)
Underrated Briggsy with an invert in the pissing rain on the cover.
First word : Every park has its local crew and every crew has members that share similarities.
The muse, the news, mailbox, …
Brakeless in the UK : Simon Tabron, Cleggy, Chris Souter,Mat Coates, Will Jackson, James Cox, Cragsy, Ben Warren, Ricky Feather.
Compensation culture.
Steve Hibbit interview.
Saint George’s Ghetto Fun Jam.
The rules of BMX.
Street transitions.
Simon Dravigne interview.
John Haxton interview.

Kingston Session

Took a little roadtrip to Bletchingley skatepark, stressful journey as Lee discovered the game ‘Yellow Car’.. first person to see a yellow car gets to punch the other.. if you have ever seen Lee you will realise why i was scared! Then went for a fun little session down Kingston where manual the box to 180 is the trick of the day!
