Im really bored at work so I thought I'd do a retrospective, end of year type post.
Things that have happened this year:
- Jimmy became sickeningly good. I remember when he was the little kid who used to come down and only be able to ride the first 3 in the jam line, now he's one of the biggest names around and showing up a lot of the top bmx guys.
- Wisley became fully legal. It was a lot of effort and stress but now we're finally legit so all we have to worry about now is what to build next. Oh yeh and finding money, click on the DMR thing above.
- James is finally doing barspins regularly, after much bullying. All we need to do now is stop him going to Oceana to pick up men.
- I went to Canada and realised that it is so much fo a better country than England, people are nicer, riding is better. Hope to go back there for a longer period someday.
- White Russians. Not people with furry hats and funny accents, these are now the alcoholic beverage of choice at all non-drinking establishment based events. Home blens is far superior to anything you can get at a bar, they dont put nearly enough vodka in and dont seem to use any ice cream at all.
- Brendan Fairclough. He used to come down wisley with Olly and the Milford lot many years ago, and much like Jimmy was always the kid struggling to get through the trails. He's had some top 5 finshes at World Cup DH events this year and has just joined one of the biggest teams in DH http://www.23degrees-sports.com/news.php?id=540
- There seems to be a growing divide between the different aspects of BMX. People are branding themselves as trails riders, street riders or park riders and almost getting militant about it. When did it stop just being BMX?
- Brian started wearing girls jeans. No more needs to be said.
- Si has spent most of this year injured after a fall in France, dislocating his shoulder and ending up needing surgery. This is a shame as he was riding well in the spring.
Predictions for next year:
- Jimmy will learn whips, and probably 3 whips.
- Me and Digs will make fools of ourselves at at least one event over the summer, probably the KOD in Portreath, blaming it on excessive intake of white russians.
- Simon will heal, eventually.
- There will be a new fashion for 'trails' kids, possibly even tighter trouser/shorts, or they may progress to skirts. More will go brakeless in an effort to copy Chase Hawk.
- Someone will find the time to start trying to get a decent park built in Kingston.
- Lee will learn flairs, shortly after which he will flair the 1ft high spine at Kingston park and then celebrate by eating a small emo girl whole.
- Alex will ride his bike more.
- Dave will be tempted back to the trails after finally managing to get his bike to work in order to get Johnny to fix it in return for sexual favours.
- The ewok ladder stuff that Cycleopedia Matt and Big Dave have been building will collapse, trapping a small imigrant family underneath.
- Wisley will build a new BBQ complete with a pizza stone and onion frying area.
- People will continue to have fun.
Right that'll do from me, if anyones got anything to add shove it in the book/form! I've put up most of my favourite photos I've taken this year in my gallery on flowtography, go take a look.
When i work up yesterday i never expected this to happen.. only meters from my house! just goes to show nothing is planned.. no, i didn’t become a millionaire.. but something just as exciting!
This is from the bbc website:
Car park sealed off as body found A car park in Surrey has been cordoned off by police after the body of a man was found inside a car. Officers were called to the car park in Ashley Road, Thames Ditton just before 1500 GMT on Thursday. A Surrey Police spokesman said the death was being treated as suspicious and an investigation was under way. Residents of the area said a police helicopter, ambulances and several police vehicles were at the scene and bystanders were being moved on.
Two events to publicise today, first off if your here looking for the DMR stuff we're selling to help pay for the Wisley lease next year then click on the big DMR logo below. Cheer's guys, you rock! And cheers to James for making the page.
The second is a reminder about the Vid premieres at the Mill

Be there or be a raging homosexual like James. Promises to be a sweet night. Probably not the greatest night ever, more like a tribute, because no one can remember the greatest night ever. Oh yeh if you're reading this and haven't joined the Forum (under book in the top bar) then do it now and get your rad on! Milford has a new site
Ilovebbguns. If you know them you'll understand, if not its still funny.

Its seems a long time since ive updated. Also been a long time since i said i would redesign the site.. don’t worry its a work in progress. Christmas is almost here so maybe it will be your Christmas present.. great huh! I haven’t been taking any photos at the moment for a number of reasons.. one of which Gareths pictures are better and ive just been filming as much as possible. The idea is when the new design goes up i will start to upload location videos that i have been working on.. from Skaterham.. Kingston.. Street etc. Hopefully enough footage for once a week videos. Anyway.. have a short video clip instead.
