John Rae Update
just for the record, I am bringing on the road trip:
- a russian army surplus smoke grenade (40cm x10cm diameter) it was given to me a couple of years back and is covered in russian (I think) writing........ it may be a nuke... I guess we'll find out.
- a rocket flare (1000ft range 5 mins burn time). stolen off a boat.
- a 3 man waterbomb catapult (wildsling)that can fire waterbombs/rocks/veg/small animals 300ft and can dent cars/people/etc. I can't wait to use this thing....
my pogo stick.
fire chains (poi) with a few hours worth of paraffin. for burning off body hair

Pics
Right so been working lots so not much riding done. Went to skatepark in the middle of chessington which was strange cause i thought i new most of the skate parks around surrey area.. obviously not. Its kinda new with a smaller spine then Kingston skate park, which is damn small. Had fun 180ing that, basically to flat, played about a bit, si rode along a 'thread the eye of the needle' poll which was cool. Told me about this gap which went from a mellow quarter over a huge barrier over a gap into the mini, that would be nuts if anyone even attempted. Si was getting his skatepark tricks on with a transfer disaster and lookbacks which was all good. Didn't get any pictures from the park but have some more from NASS, Wisley, etc. Most people are going on the trails roadtrip this week so should have loads of pictures up here by the end of the week. I'm not going because of work issues but going to meet everyone at barend sometime in the week , so Eliot give me a ring. Anyway here are some pics links..

Best thing i have heard all were from these two little kids i was walking behind on the way to work. One said to the other, "my mummys better then your mummy", made me smile, thought that only happened in jokes, great stuff.
Got lots of NASS pics/vid etc, will put up soon when i have free time, which is rare now adays, its all good. Better get on with some work, then Oceana (Nightclub for all you non surrey people) then trails tomorrow. Radness.

Hey, been back from Morzine for a few days now. Had the best time ever, i think it was the first holiday where I've been genuinely sad to come back. Theres a few pics up in the media section, so go have a look. Sherm and Miles took a lot more than me, so expect a further update at some point. Cheers to everyone who came on the trip for making it so much fun, and for the chalet people for being cool. Cant wait to go back!

The only downside was the injuries, Scott did something to the cartilage in his wrist, then cut off the cast to ride, crazy bastard, Matt did something to his ankle, fuck knows what, and it turns out Ben broke his elbow, which sucks. I landed hard on my hip, which means i wont b riding for a bit, so expect the odd pic, starting with some wis ones in the media section right now. Cheers to Roo for lettin me have a play with his fisheye, ace bit of kit.

People i hate
Yeah so i was sitting outside Kingston skatepark on my lunch break, no riding because it was wet, sitting there listening to music and saw these two guys walk into the park. The kinda guys that think they are 'the man' say words like' yes boss'. Anyway, i was sitting there minding my own business and after about 20mins they walk up to me and one says "do you blase".. so i say no i don't, then he asked if i 'had a pound for him'... i looked at him for a second and then realised what he was getting at, i said no and then the other asks i if have a phone. So i say "yes thanks" as he had seen me use it before. He wasn't to happy with that answer, and preceded to move towards me, so i got up, picked up my bag and walked off thinking to myself i wished i had someone with me and a spanner. So the moral to this story is there are a lot of dickheads in this world so if you don't have a hobby your going to be one of those people, pricks.

Its really fun
Been to Kingston skatepark at lunch, was good fun, half hour session, got footjams back, haven't done any of them for a while. Haven't riden park in a long time, Kingston skatepark can get boring very quick, its what you make of it i guess like everything in life. Playing on Flash MX at the moment, its doing my head in.
NASS in a couple of days, if Si does his bit hes getting me a competitor pass which should be wicked. Haven't been to NASS before, have been meaning to go the last 3 years but because of unforeseen circumstances i wasn't able to go which was shit. two more days. Might just take a bottle of water, bike and a camera and see what happens.

Quick Update
Right, back from Bristol, got lots of media to put up, lots of stuff to do. Making a couple of videos, one river jumping one and one general riding one. Candy sticks - remember them? back in the day, yum, Alex is amazing, best thing ever! Its raining? Its crap, wasn't like this when i left. Before left me and Sherm were at Leatherhead and the Red Bull girls turned up, so thanks to them for all the free red bull... mmm. Vids soon.
