Alright there, it's Gareth. You may or may not know that I work in a bike shop,Cycleopedia in Surbiton. I've been there for about 4 yearsnow and am bored of cross-country bikes and the peopletheybring. Therefore I'mtrying to get more BMX and jump bike stuff in the shop. However, there's no point in me doing this unless you guys, the local riders, support me. Its cool having a local shop, somewhere to go and look at stuff and talk to people who know about things, rather than just reading about it in a magazine. Mail Order companies are, for the most part at least, heartless corporations who don't give a shit about you, so if you live in the area come to the shop and see me and we'll match mail order prices (except sale stuff). We have a fairly good stock of all the cool new parts, and anything we don't keep can be ordered just as quick as you'd get it mail order anyway. We'll even help you fit it, a lot of these fancy new parts can really fuck up if you bodge them like most people tend to. One thing we're particularly good at is wheels, Matt builds most of them and he's good, you'll be amazed how much longer a well built wheel lasts. Anyway, enough writing, buy stuff from Cycleopedia instead of mail order, you know its makes sense. Enough interest will allow me to expand amount of cool stuff we stock and eventually may let me find a way to give something back to the local riders through the shop. And I'll be less bored at work.
